About
My name is Ezra Böhm (2000), an art and advertising photographer based in Utrecht.
In a rapidly globalizing world, I felt little connection to the culture of my own country from an early age. That is why I began to use my camera to search for what remains of Dutch culture. In my work, I focus on the stories of human culture and history.
I showcase the rich and enduring traditional culture of the Netherlands across various disciplines, such as portraiture, genre, and city and landscape photography. In my quest for perfection, I am inspired by 17th-century Dutch paintings. I stage and romanticize scenes, but I depict today’s real-life stories truthfully.
The goal is to make people aware of what we still have and why we should cherish it. Because people only preserve what they really care about.
My work can be viewed at the Warnars & Warnars Art Dealers gallery in Haarlem and the Grachtengalerie in Utrecht.
