About

I’m Ezra Böhm, a 23-year-old photographer based in the beautiful city of Utrecht, in the Netherlands.

Since the moment I first visited an indigenous tribe at the age of 11, I have been fascinated by traditional communities, cultural practices, and their significance in today’s globalizing world.

Today I use my camera to search for my own cultural roots. An element that, I believe unfairly, enjoys little popularity in modern society. As a 23-year-old boy, growing up in the city, I feel the urge to inspire my generation to explore its cultural roots again.

This journey helps me to learn what has shaped us through history, how even today we can learn from the knowledge of the past, and why we as ‘global citizens’ can still be proud of our cultural authenticity.

Thanks for joining me on this journey.
