In the first week of January 2026, the Netherlands was buried under a thick layer of snow, with the city of Utrecht receiving up to 30 centimeters. Before the city awoke, I went out. It was a mystical atmosphere, with just a few people in the empty city and the streetlights illuminating the falling snowflakes. Even during the day, when the sun broke through, the city revealed itself to be incredibly beautiful.
