Haarlem’s world-famous market square has often been the stage for numerous great masters. Mostly genre scenes with lots to see.
I was looking for the moment before all the city commotion. Before the square is filled with terraces, market stalls, and crowds of people. So that its beauty can be captured in pure tranquility.
We the sun just peeking above the horizon and setting the sky ablaze. The lights on the buildings are still on for a few minutes and beautifully light up the historic buildings, and a few cyclists bring some life to the early morning market.
